Last day!

Hoy era el último día con nuestros ingleses en Burgos. Por la mañana hemos hecho una taller de esgrima hasta las 10:30 que ellos se han marchado a Covarrubias y a la Yecla y nosotros los españoles nos hemos quedado en las clases.

A las 5 nuestros chicos han alquilado una pista de futbito en el polideportivo Lavaderos y han jugado alli un partidillo, antes de hacer la cena de despedida en el Giovanni para rememorar momentos que habiamos vivido estos dias. Vamos a echarles mucho de menos y ya estamos esperando ir a Londres para volver a verlos. Un saludo!

Today was the last day with our English in Burgos. In the morning we made a fencing and at 10:30 they have gone to Covarrubias and Yecla and we have go to classes.

At 5 our guys have rented a football pitch at the sports washes and have a practice match played there before making a farewell dinner at Giovanni where we remember moments that we had lived these days. Let's take much and we are hoping to go to London to see them again. A greeting!

WEEKEND

Durante el fin de semana somos nosotros los que tenemos que elegir las actividades que vamos a hacer, pero cada uno puede hacer lo que quiera. 

El sabado por la mañana un grupo quedamos para llevarles de compras por el centro de Burgos y por la tarde organizamos una fiesta en la que pasamos un buen rato.

El domingo por la tarde fuimos al campo de futbito de Concepcionistas y jugamos al futbol españoles contra ingleses.

During the weekend we have to choose the activities that we do, but everyone can do what he wants.

On Saturday morning a group were shopping in the center of Burgos and in the afternoon we organized a party where we had a good time.

On Sunday afternoon we went to the football pitch of Conceptionistas and played against English Spanish football.

Friday, 7th of November

Hoy nos ha tocado visitar la ciudad de Salamanca. Llegamos allí sobre las 12 y vimos la Universidad Pontificia, la casa de las conchas y la catedral, donde comimos un bocadillo y después fuimos a sus torres medievales e hicimos un tour desde las alturas, en la cual pudimos ver unas magnificas vistas de la ciudad de Salamanca.

Llegamos sobre las 8 a Burgos, y fuimos a ver el partido Autocid-Ourense. Los ingleses lo vivieron mucho y hasta se compraron bufandas y gafas de nuestro equipo. ¡Aquí os dejo unas fotos del día de hoy!

Today we had got the chance to visit the city of Salamanca. We got there around 12 and we saw the Pontifical University, the house of the shells and the cathedral, where we ate a sandwich. Then, we went to its medieval towers and took a tour from above, from where we could see the superbe views of the city of Salamanca.

We arrived about 8 to Burgos, and at 9 went to see the match Autocid-Ourense. The English enjoyed it and they even bought scarves and sunglasses from our team. Here you can some today photos!

Thursday 6th of November

Hemos llegado al colegio a las 8 de la mañana como cualquier día, pero hoy era diferente porque en nuestras clases había nuevos alumnos, los ingleses. Han estado las tres primeras horas repartidos en diferentes cursos. Después del recreo han ido a visitar el Museo de la Evolución que les ha gustado mucho y han descubierto algo más sobre los alrededores de Burgos. Aunque cuando más han podido conocer nuestra ciudad ha sido esta tarde, que hemos hecho una gymkhana por el centro donde han visto la catedral, la Casa del Cordón, el Arco de Santamaría, el Teatro Principal y el Mirador del Castillo. We have come to the college at 8 a.m. as any day, but today it was different because in our classes there were new students, the english people. They have been the first three hours distributed in different courses. After the break they have been going to visit the Museum of the Evolution that they have liked very much and they have discovered something more on the surroundings of Burgos. Though when more they could have known about our city it has been this evening, which we have made a gymkhana in the center where they have seen the cathedral, the House of the Cord, Santamaría's Arch, the Principal Theatre and the Viewing-point of the Castle. Wednesday 5th of November

Hoy por fin han llegado nuestros compañeros ingleses. A las 2:30 estaban en portería esperándonos y después hemos ido a nuestras casas para comer. Decidimos que al ser el primer día íbamos a hacer una actividad todos juntos, así que esta tarde la hemos pasado todos los españoles e ingleses en la bolera. Primero hemos jugado en las máquinas y después hemos echado una partida de bolos. Creo que ha sido una buena idea para empezar a conocernos, aqui os dejo unas fotos. ¡Un saludo!

Today finally our English have come. At 2:30 they were in theschool lounge waiting for us and later we have gone to our houses to eat. We decide that the first day we were going to do an activity to being all together, so  we have spent this evening all the Spanish and english in the bowling alley. First we have played in the machines and later we have played to the skittles. I believe that it has been a good idea to start knowing, here I add a few photos to you. A greeting!

EXCHANGE BURGOS-BURY

Este es el cuarto año consecutivo que se realiza el intercambio entre Burgos y Bury. Diecisiete alumnos de 1º de bachillerato vamos a acoger un inglés, de 14 a 17 años, en nuestras casas, que serán nuestros hermanos desde el 5 al 11 de noviembre. 
El objetivo de este intercambio es poner en práctica el inglés aprendido durante estos años en el colegio, entablar una amistad con todos ellos especialmente con nuestro correspondiente y descubrir la cultura inglesa.
En estos días haremos diversas actividades que os iré contando con detalle, también podréis ver las fotos y comentarlas.

This one is the fourth consecutive year that the school organizes the exchange between Burgos and Bury. Seventeen students from 1 ºBACH are going to receive an English student, from 14 to 17 years, in our houses, who will be our brothers from 5-11 November. 
The objective of this exchange is to put into practice the English learned during these years in the college, to begin a friendship with all of them, especially with our correspondent and to discover the English culture.
In these days we will do diverse activities that I will be closely telling you , also you will be able to see the photos and to comment on them.

¡HASTA PRONTO!

Y ya era lunes, y lo bueno se acababa, pero todavía nos quedaba un gran día en la ciudad de Santander para disfrutar todos juntos.

Era un día lleno de emociones ya que en unas pocas horas teníamos que despedirnos de todas aquellas personas con las que habíamos pasado una semana inolvidable, pues no solo han sido nuestros partners si no que se han convertido en buenos amigos.

Comenzamos el día con un ameno viaje en el que como es habitual cantamos, reímos y dormimos. Llegamos al bonito pueblo de Santillana del Mar, lleno de preciosos jardines donde pudimos disfrutar del almuerzo mientras admirabamos el impactante paisaje rural. Acto seguido nos pusimos de camino a Santander; tuvimos tiempo libre para disfrutar de la tarde yendo de compras, comiendo sus famosos y deliciosos helados, etc.

Y ya llegó el momento que nadie deseaba, nos pusimos de camino al aeropuerto, sin duda este no fue el mejor momento del intercambio. A nadie le gustan las despedidas pero al menos tenemos la suerte de poder volver a juntarnos en abril.
